Now, being a Maryland Terrapin, coming down Tobacco road, I had to have me a real Southern breakfast, not unlike Mr. Gambini in "My Cousin Vinnie" The lady serving us was fantastic, and the lady doing the cooking (with the big smile, and the pink bandana on her head) was so friendly you can't believe it. So, I made them tell me what to get, and they said that if I was leaving it up to them, that I had to get the fried tenderloin with fried eggs, and grits. Man, they they'z talking about cuz that was the best dang breakfast in all of Dixie !
If you're traveling down through Rocky Mount and Elm City and don't stop here for breakfast, you're a communist ! GREAT food.

On behalf of the entire Maggie Society dog rescue group, I would like to thank Oh My Lard Restaurant for their generosity during our holiday raffle! With their help, we were able to raise money to vet the rescued dogs we take in everyday!
Great food, great friendly staff. Love the hobo biscuit. Sherry is an awesome problem who helps any and everyone one that she can. She has a heart of Gold and is a very special person!!!
I I want to just say Oh My Lard is the best all around for good ole home cooking. Sherry and her staff go out of the way to please everyone. If something is wrong Sherry goes above and beyond to make it right. If you talk with her in a professional manner. However you know there are some people you can never satisfy. These type of people are normally the jealous ones or the ones that just want something for free.
Sherry has done so much for our community. From honoring our people in uniform, to helping the less fortunate people in our community. This all is done from the heart. You will not find a restaurant around that goes above and beyond like Sherry and her staff. If sherry knows someone is in need she’s on top of it.
For those that are in a hurry and run short on time keep in mind :
1-Call ahead eat in or take out..All food is prepared as ordered.The
food here is not made hours ahead.
2-Holidays are nearing .Start putting in orders now.
3- Keep in mind and share Sherry does all kinds of catering . What ever the occasion.
